Ben + Sadie Engagements | Paradise Utah Wedding Photographer
As a wedding photographer in Cache Valley, I feel like I have seen it all. Llamas at receptions, shark-sunrise First Looks, you name it! But there will always be something so sweet and special about photographing people you know.
I worked for Ben’s family for six years and I loved every minute of it! Their home is nestled down the back roads of Paradise, Utah, on the south end of Cache Valley. I would spend almost every night there assisting their son, Samuel. I quickly grew to love their family and have always felt included as one of the kids! They are the sweetest family and so welcoming to us — truly like a second family. My daughter even calls them Grandpa Tom and Grandma Teresa.
Ben and Sadie met when she took over for me helping with Samuel. They immediately hit it off! And then, all of a sudden, they were in quarantine together. Things get real when you spend so much time together! They knew really quickly that they wanted to get married, but, in all reality, how does one plan a COVID-19 wedding with so much unknown? So they called the experts, me and my husband Brachen.
We discussed some ideas with Ben for the proposal and some wedding plans with both of them. When they were ready for us, we got up super early for a sunrise session. Brach and I set everything up for them while they enjoyed a romantic rowboat ride across Porcupine Dam to the proposal location. When they docked, Ben got down on one knee and asked Sadie to marry him, to which she joyfully agreed!
The rest is history! If you want to feel like you really lived through this proposal, we shot a video to accompany these photos! View it here.
