This session for me was really special to capture as Cara is actually my sister-in-law! It was so special to have this time with the happy couple and take their engagements as they plan their wedding. Cara and Josh met online, but funnily enough, Cara had actually been working with Josh’s brother for several years! Imagine that!

This will be a really beautiful blended family as Josh is bringing two children into the marriage. I can’t wait for these guys to officially be part of our family!

Cara and Josh’s engagement session was taken up Logan Canyon. We started out in more casual clothing and changed into more formal outfits about halfway through. I love the photos we got up the canyon because I had them turn off at a really secret little spot that you can’t even see from the road, so not a lot of people know about it, but as you can see, it is absolutely STUNNING.

One thing on Josh’s “bucket list” for this shoot was a picture of them in the middle of the road. Unfortunately every time we tried to jump in their to take a picture, we were faced with lots of traffic. Luckily, Beaver Mountain is not super crowded at all during the summertime, so we drove up there a little ways and finally snagged that last in-the-road shot to make sure they got all the pictures they needed out of their engagement shoot without leaving Logan Canyon.

I seriously can’t wait to share these pictures, and for Josh and his kids to join the Alder family! What a party that will be!
