Katie + James Anniversary Session | Cache Valley Utah Wedding Photographer
I did Katie + James’ one-year anniversary shoot up Logan Canyon. Earlier that morning, my husband Brachen and I had driven up Logan Canyon to scout for good locations for this shoot. We drove our Tacoma up there, leaving at about 8 in the morning. We found the most beautiful location, and we promptly got STUCK.
We spent from about 8 in the morning until about 3pm digging ourselves out. The session was at 6pm, so we had to hurry to get back down to Logan! Side note: I was also about 25 weeks pregnant! I was in a panic. We tried laying some socks and carpets we had in the back of our car under the wheels, we tried digging ourselves out; we tried literally everything we could think of. We had just one granola bar for our rations, and because I was pregnant, I got the whole granola bar and Brachen had to starve.
Eventually, there are a little group of mountain bikers who drove along, and we ran out to ask them for help. I’m sure we looking kind of creepy. They helped rock our car out of its stuck spot! We drove back to Logan, filled up with gas, grabbed some gas station rations, and headed back up to the same location to meet Katie and James.
When we finally got back up, we took extra caution not to get stuck this time around. The great end to the day was that although it was cold and off to a rough start on our end, these two are darling and it was a blast shooting them and their sweet love for each other in a beautiful winter setting! So honored to shoot for fun couples like these two.
