Selena + Reinaldo Engagements

One thing you may not know about me is that I have really bad hyperemesis gravidarum, which means that when I’m pregnant, I have extreme morning sickness, and it’s quite dangerous. I can’t eat anything orally, can’t drink anything; I have to get all my food and water through an IV pump. Needless to say, I wasn’t taking any sessions during the early trimesters of my pregnancy with Mila, just because I was having trouble surviving, let alone keeping my business alive.

However, when Selena, my cousin and my very best friend of all time, reached out to me explaining that she was getting married and that she wanted me to do her engagements, I was so honored that I couldn’t refuse! Even though I was so weak, this was so important and worth it to me!

Selena wanted her pictures up at Tony’s Grove, up Logan Canyon. Brachen came too, and so did my IV pole. I would stand and do the pictures and my husband would stand behind me, ready to catch me if I fell! We busted out those pictures so quickly, but I loved how much genuine emotion these two gave me with their new love for each other that I was able to capture. It was such a beautiful night!

As soon as we came home, we wanted to hang out, but everyone wanted to eat at Frederico’s Pizza by Utah State University. I brought my IV with me, and got to enjoy my delicious saline sustenance while everyone else got to each yummy pizza. It was still a beautiful time with these two, and a great end to the day to spend it with them. I’m so glad they trusted me in my poor state to take their photos, and I look forward to working with them more!
